The measurement in this study is based on a recent study by (Hausner, et al., 2011) which provides a duplexed single-ended DTS installation to determine the temperature along a cable strung from the DTS outward. In this installation two temperature were observed at each point along the cable (one going away from the instrument, and one coming back towards the instrument). Calibration process has been done using the new method presented by (Hausner, et al., 2011) in which the calibration would capture effects of attenuation with distance, Raman scattering, and instrument sensitivity with higher accuracy comparing to commercially available DTS instruments with manufacturer’s calibration routines.
DTS conducted in two adjacent wells, one cased (40m) and the other one, uncased borehole (100m) in east central Illinois. The DTS cable was installed vertically in both boreholes, attached to the PVC pipe in the cased borehole and sealed against the sidewall with bentonite grout in the uncased borehole. Thermal profiles were measured and analyzed in the subsurface in both scenarios in different months from 2015-2017
SfM DEM for Site 1-1 in Clear Creek collected in May 2017
Baseline soil properties collected from representative sites throughout the Clear Creek Watershed. The samples were collected at depths of 0 to 5 cm and 5 to 10 cm along sampling grids in the characterization fields. Each grid consisted of four transects at different catena positions (i.e., crest, shoulder, backslope, toe) and three downslope transects following the main flow paths. Samples were collected in November 2015. bulk soil properties, including bulk density, texture, pH, and aggregate stability as well as organic geochemistry and isotopic signatures (i.e., total C and N, d13C/d15N, lignin content, lipids, and fatty acids). A portion of the samples has been archived for future analyses.

Sediment concentrations, organic C concentrations, total N concentrations, C and N stable isotopes collected on suspended sediments from Clear Creek for multiple storm events between 2014-2016 as functions of time and discharge.
